Genamin CH020 2,2'-(CYCLOHEXYLIMINO)DIETHANOL) was tested as it would appear an interesting alternative to DCHA. It is a tertiary amine and so it sounded interesting.

The bio-stability of the amine alone (used at 3500ppm in the emulsion) was found to be poor.

We also tested the amine with OPP and that was equally poor.

We did however find it worked incredibly well with another active. These results are so surprising that we will be repeating it. If confirmed we will considering incorporating the technology in some of our cutting fluids. Not only was the bacteria control very good the emulsion quality was excellent.

Repeat tests on Genamin CH020 have started w/c 29th September 2014.
